The makers of Maya have won the legal battle against petitioners who filed plagiarism charges saying that the story belongs to them. The official Twitter handle of the film tweeted “Happy to announce that we’ve won the plagiarism case against #Dora! Nobody can stop #Dora visiting theatres near you! “.
Directed by Doss Ramasamy, ‘Lady Superstar’ Nayanthara plays the lead role in the film and Harris Uttaman will be seen as a cop. National award winning actor Thambi Ramaiah plays Nayanthara’s dad in the film, which will be hitting the screens on March 31.
Produced by Hitesh Jhabak, Auraa Cinemas is distributing the film in Tamil Nadu.
